About the Position

Introduction

We are Sopra Steria Java developers, providing customized, end-to-end software solutions to large organizations and semi-government entities. We help clients make the right choices and achieve excellent results, consistently delivering success for years.

Responsibilities

As a technological partner at Sopra Steria, you will work with your team on various assignments. These may include:

Updating an outdated Java 8 application to the latest LTS version.
Migrating the entire OTAP (Development, Testing, Acceptance, Production) environment from on-premise RHEL servers to Azure (AKS).
Evaluating the implementation of OpenShift.
Converting CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to Azure pipelines.
Selecting and implementing new frameworks such as Spring or Quarkus.
Improving the relevance and effectiveness of existing unit and integration tests.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Java Software Developer.
Experience with frameworks such as Spring or Quarkus.
Experience with and ability to apply testing methodologies (unit, integration, acceptance tests).
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
Experience working according to DevOps principles.
A positive mindset and a solution-oriented attitude.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent relevant qualification.
Must be a Dutch citizen and residing in the Netherlands.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
