Are you an experienced Java Engineer eager to play a crucial role in developing innovative backend systems? You will be part of an agile team, focusing on building high-quality, scalable, and robust backend solutions for platforms with significant societal impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new functionalities using Java (Spring Boot).
• Optimize existing systems for improved performance and scalability.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product owners, and UX/UI designers.
• Participate in code reviews and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technological innovations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Java Engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Experience with message brokers (preferably Kafka).
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservices architecture.
