Interim Project Control Lead

Introduction

We are looking for an Interim Project Control Lead for a leading company in the energy transition sector. If you are a financial expert who can help us successfully complete complex projects, then this role is for you!

As a Project Control Lead, you will be responsible for the financial control and management of various projects within the organization. You will work closely with project managers, the management team, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives and minimize financial risks. You will report to the Head of Project Controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and monitor project budgets.
• Provide periodic financial reports and forecasts.
• Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities.
• Advise project managers and the management team on financial performance.
• Implement and optimize project control processes and systems.
• Contribute to the development of a data-driven project control environment.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital related to projects.

Requirements

We are looking for a proactive and analytically strong professional with a proven track record in project control within a complex project organization, preferably in energy transition or infrastructure.

• Completed HBO/WO education (Bachelor's/Master's degree) in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in project control, preferably in energy transition or infrastructure.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Dutch and English.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and able to perform under pressure.
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
