About the Position

Introduction

As an Integration Specialist, you will be a pivotal figure in connecting our digital ecosystems with the educational world, contributing to optimizing learning opportunities for students. In this role, you will ensure our systems communicate seamlessly with external platforms and partners of educational institutions. You will initiate, design, build, and implement complex integration solutions, from APIs to data links and middleware. Your work will focus on security, scalability, and performance, all while striving for an optimal user experience. You'll combine your technical knowledge with a deep understanding of educational processes and the unique needs of students and educational institutions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define and execute the integration strategy.
Design, build, and implement APIs, webservices, and other integration solutions.
Ensure the maintenance and optimization of existing integrations, with a focus on performance and scalability.
Monitor integration solutions and resolve any issues.
Document all integration processes, from design to implementation, for internal and external teams.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in integration technologies and EdTech.
Actively share knowledge within the team and contribute to the further professionalization of our engineering practices.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Integration Specialist, preferably in an (EdTech) SaaS environment.
In-depth knowledge of integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, Message Queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and ETL tools.
Experience with various programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong communication skills, both in Dutch and English.
Proactive, analytical, and results-oriented.
Passionate about EdTech and eager to contribute to the future of education.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
