They are currently in an interesting and complex phase, further developing their digital puzzle and game platform. As an Infrastructure & Security Engineer, you will ensure a stable, scalable, and secure infrastructure, vital for the teams developing this platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize infrastructure systems and processes, with a strong focus on security.
• Collaborate with developers to build a robust architecture and monitor compliance with security standards.
• Proactively identify vulnerabilities, perform penetration tests, and implement appropriate measures.
• Manage cloud-based infrastructures (AWS, Azure).
• Continuously improve DevOps practices.
• Understand the 'why' behind security choices and translate this into concrete solutions.
• Report to the Head of Tech.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a comparable role as an Infrastructure Engineer or Security Engineer, preferably in an organization with a scalable (SaaS) platform.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation of deployment processes.
• Proactive and solution-oriented attitude, with a hands-on mentality.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English (verbal and written).
• HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) work and thinking level.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Experience with scripting (Python, Bash).
• Knowledge of monitoring and incident response.
• Familiarity with security audits, threat modeling, Identity and Access Management (IAM), data protection, network security, web application security, and compliance (GDPR).
