Infrastructure Engineer

Introduction

Our client is an innovative company focused on sustainability and impact, seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to maintain a stable, secure, and highly automated IT environment. In this role, you will contribute to the Linux infrastructure, automate processes using Ansible, Bash, and Python, and enhance the platform's cybersecurity. You will also collaborate with management on the future direction of the IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage the Linux infrastructure.
• Automate tasks with Ansible, Bash, and Python.
• Monitor the stability, performance, and security of the platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Document infrastructure and processes.
• Advise on IT strategy and innovation.

Requirements

• At least HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux systems (Debian).
• Experience with configuration management (Ansible).
• Scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Experience with database management (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
