Responsibilities

• Gather wishes and requirements from users and translate them into clear user stories.
• Draw up functional designs and wireframes.
• Explain to developers what needs to be built and discuss technical feasibility.
• Support testers and users in testing designs.
• Ensure that designs are understandable to all involved.
• Collaborate with information analysts, business architects, and external parties.
• Establish connections between different parts of the system and assess the impact of changes.

Requirements

• You have at least a higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level.
• Experience with custom new development is a plus.
• Affinity with testing and preferably experience with DevOps.
• You are proactive, take ownership, and are results-oriented.
• You have strong conceptual and analytical skills.
• You are a team player who fits into a dynamic and informal team.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Benefits

• Salary between €3,500 and €6,200 gross based on 40 hours per week.

As a Functional Designer, you will be part of the IT program where a new, self-built custom application is being developed for the inspection process. You will work closely with information analysts, business architects, developers, and external parties. In this role, you will translate user requirements into functional designs and ensure they are understandable to both business and IT.

In addition to drawing up designs, you will also consider the impact of changes, support testing, and ensure that the solutions align with processes and architecture. You will join an informal, collegial team with a lot of freedom and room to take initiative.
