HR Specialist | Sickness and Reintegration Process

Introduction

Our partner, a leading scale-up in the financial sector located in the Randstad area, is seeking an experienced HR professional. This company uniquely combines the flexibility and innovative power of a scale-up with the stability of an established player.

As an HR Specialist, you will be responsible for the full coordination and guidance of sickness absence and reintegration processes, in compliance with the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter (Gatekeeper Improvement Act). You will advise employees and managers on all aspects of absence, ensuring a people-focused approach. You will play a proactive role in setting up and monitoring reintegration files, maintaining contact with company doctors, occupational health services, and other external parties. You will report to the Head of HR and work closely with the broader HR team to provide the best possible support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide sickness absence and reintegration processes according to the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter.
• Advise employees and managers on all aspects of absence, with a human-centric approach.
• Proactively set up and monitor reintegration files.
• Maintain contact with company doctors, occupational health services, and other external parties.
• Collaborate with the broader HR team to provide optimal support.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR advisor or specialist, with demonstrable expertise in absence and reintegration guidance.
• Completed HBO degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resource Management, Occupational and Organizational Psychology).
• In-depth knowledge of the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter and related laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong empathy.
• Proactive, analytical, and results-oriented, with an eye for both individual and organizational interests.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
