HR Specialist Employer Advice on Absence

Introduction

Are you ready to ensure employers receive the right support for absence management and find satisfaction in advising them on HR-related issues? We are looking for an HR Specialist to provide expert employer advice on absence. You will be the primary point of contact for employers regarding absence guidance and the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter (Gatekeeper Improvement Act).

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive and reactive advice on absence guidance and the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter.
• Set up and implement HR policies and absence management strategies for employers.
• Support management and HR managers with various HR-related questions.
• Maintain contact with company doctors, insurers, and other relevant authorities.
• Work independently and in a structured manner, scheduling your own appointments and reporting to management.

Requirements

• Minimum HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, preferably in HRM, Law, or Psychology.
• Extensive experience in absence guidance and the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter.
• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., Arbowet, AVG).
• Experience in setting up and implementing HR policy and absence management.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent listening and analytical skills.
• A strong conversational partner for employers at various levels.
• Ability to communicate directly and honestly.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Experience within the industry or with the target group (e.g., scale-ups, tech companies).
