Introduction

The Monad Foundation is seeking a Head of Korea to drive the adoption and growth of the Monad blockchain in the South Korean market. This role involves establishing Monad as a leading blockchain for institutional and retail users by overseeing market strategy, business development, and strategic partnerships within this dynamic and active blockchain market.

Responsibilities

• Develop, own, and execute go-to-market strategies to establish Monad as an industry leader among institutional and retail investors in South Korea.
• Lead business development by identifying, negotiating, and closing strategic deals with Korean enterprises and institutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key regional stakeholders, including exchanges, enterprises, media, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor the evolving South Korean regulatory landscape to identify and capitalize on high-impact opportunities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of business development experience, with at least 3 years in blockchain, digital assets, or Web3 startups.
• Deep understanding of the South Korean market and extensive experience engaging with and selling to large Korean enterprises and institutions.
• Demonstrated ability to engage both retail and institutional investors.
• Strong market foresight regarding corporate crypto strategies and regulatory trends.
• Robust network across regional institutions, enterprises, and Web3 companies.
• Profound understanding of Web3 in corporate strategy and the practical application of Web3 technologies (e.g., stablecoins, tokenization).
• Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership from ideation to execution.
• Native-level fluency in both Korean and English (written and verbal).

• Extensive experience guiding market entry for Web3 startups.
• Deep connectivity with Korean centralized exchanges.
• Considerable expertise and connectivity with regulators.
• Robust understanding of and connectivity with Korean media.
• Entrepreneurial experience across the full startup lifecycle, including fundraising, product launches, and operations.
• Deep technical understanding of blockchains.
