OKX is seeking an exceptional and entrepreneurial Head of Communications for the APAC region. This senior leadership role will be responsible for owning and driving the regional communications strategy and execution, while also playing a pivotal role in global PR initiatives. This high-impact position is ideal for someone with deep regional media relationships and a passion for the digital asset space.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of OKX's APAC communications strategy, including setting direction, driving alignment, and delivering regional results.
Serve as the senior communications voice for APAC, collaborating closely with marketing, product, legal, compliance, and local market leads.
Build and lead a high-performing communications team, including managing PR agency relationships across the region.
Leverage an extensive network of media contacts across Australia, Singapore, and broader APAC, including tier-one business, broadcast, financial, and crypto media, to secure high-impact coverage.
Cultivate and manage relationships with editors, journalists, and influential industry voices in key APAC markets.
Successfully place compelling stories in top-tier general media and leading crypto publications, ensuring consistent coverage volume and quality.
Act as an integral member of the global communications/PR team, contributing to worldwide initiatives and assisting in amplifying global campaigns across APAC.
Activate PR opportunities through OKX's global partnerships, such as the McLaren F1 Team and Manchester City Football Club, to generate visibility among media and potential users.
Write and oversee PR plans, press materials, executive messaging, and content for key announcements and initiatives.
Ensure brand consistency and messaging discipline across all regional communications efforts.
Track, report on, and actively influence media coverage to align with business objectives.

Requirements

12–15 years of experience in PR and communications, with a strong background in financial services, fintech, or technology. Crypto experience is preferred.
Superior stakeholder management and presentation skills.
Established media connections across APAC, specifically with business, broadcast, financial, and crypto media.
Proven track record of running regional and global PR campaigns that generate significant, high-quality media coverage.
Experience with investment and financial communications.
An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to set ambitious targets, maintain accountability, and achieve results in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Team management experience, including the ability to lead, mentor, and inspire.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Fluent in English.
