GEO Specialist

For a client, we are looking for a GEO Specialist. As a GEO Specialist, you will be responsible for translating GEO policy into smart, data-driven solutions. You will work on improving data quality, developing workflows, and making GEO information accessible to internal and external stakeholders. You will work in an informal, collaborative team of specialists within information management, with ample room for personal initiative, knowledge sharing, and growth. This role offers projects with societal relevance and direct impact.

Introduction

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain FME workflows and spatial data sources.
• Manage incoming and outgoing GEO data, including quality control and distribution.
• Develop web applications and dashboards for visualization in GIS environments.
• Advise on 3D visualization, digital twins, and data-driven operations.
• Establish links between GEO registrations and optimize work processes.
• Coordinate ENSIA accountability and implement GEO-related legislation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and regional partners on GEO information.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a GEO Specialist or in a comparable role.
• Experience with FME, QGIS, ArcGIS, Python, and SQL.
• Knowledge of basic registrations (BGT, BAG, BRO, BOR).
• Experience with developing web applications and dashboards.
• HBO or WO degree in GIS, Geodesy, or a comparable field.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
