Introduction

Are you an ambitious Fund Accountant or Financial Accountant looking to disrupt traditional financial services? This fast-growing scale-up in Amsterdam is a frontrunner in the Fundtech sector, transforming financial services with advanced technology. We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join their dynamic team where innovation, sustainability, and technology are central.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete financial administration, including general ledger, sub-ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) for fund managers and investors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations (e.g., IFRS/GAAP, AIFMD) and internal procedures.
• Assist with annual audit processes.
• Review and process complex financial transactions, including investments, divestments, and capital calls.
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within administration.
• Collaborate closely with fund managers, internal teams, and external auditors.

Requirements

• Completed HBO/WO degree in Accountancy, Business Economics, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience as a Fund Accountant or Financial Accountant, preferably within financial services or a scale-up environment.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and AIFMD is a strong plus.
• Experience with financial software packages (e.g., AFAS, Exact, Unit4, or specific fund software).
• Analytical, proactive, accurate, and a team player.
• Interest in blockchain technology and its impact on financial markets is a plus.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
