Functional Tester

The organization is a personal insurer primarily serving SME clients. They are currently implementing a new back-office system and seeking a Functional Tester to specialize in chain testing and improve their overall testing strategy.

Responsibilities

• Performing chain tests.
• Contributing ideas for expanding testing within the organization, for example, in test automation.
• Supporting Functional Management with functional tests.
• Ensuring knowledge sharing within your field.
• Proposing improvement suggestions.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Tester or in a similar role.
• HBO (higher vocational education) work/thinking level.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Knowledge of system integrations.
• Knowledge of chain testing and functional testing.
• Experience with test automation is a plus.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

You will join a team of 6 colleagues who perform various technical tasks. You will become the specialist in testing, a role currently handled primarily by Functional Management or external partners. The organization is on the verge of implementing a new back-office system with a customer environment, featuring various integrations with other (internal and external) systems, and therefore requires more testing expertise. Initially, you will primarily focus on various chain tests but will also assist with functional tests and contribute ideas for improving testing activities. You will have the opportunity to explore possibilities for implementing more test automation and will be given significant freedom to enhance the testing strategy.

You will interact extensively with various stakeholders, including business colleagues, Functional Management, and Product Owners. This ensures knowledge sharing and consistently achieving optimal results.
