Responsibilities

• Managing and optimizing business-critical applications used daily by the organization.
• Handling complex functional issues and incidents escalated from the service desk.
• Translating business requirements into smart and future-proof solutions within applications.
• Setting up new processes, workflows, and functionalities within the application landscape.
• Liaising with suppliers regarding changes, improvements, and technical issues.
• Performing and guiding updates, changes, and testing processes.
• Managing user rights and functional settings.
• Actively contributing to the further digitalization and optimization of business processes.

Requirements

• HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
• Experience with functional management, application management, or a comparable IT role.
• Affinity with IT, applications, and business processes.
• Strong analytical skills, solution-oriented, and excellent communication skills.
• Proactive and independent work ethic with a sense of responsibility.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

What makes this position unique is the combination of functional management, process improvement, and vendor management. You are not only involved in resolving incidents but also actively contribute to new business requirements and how these can be translated into smart solutions within applications. You will be given a lot of responsibility and a broad application landscape under your care, ensuring no two days are the same.

You will join a team of approximately 10 application managers, each with their own specialization, working closely with users, colleagues, and suppliers. You will manage, among other things, an ERP system, document management system, and various applications used daily by hundreds of employees.

Additionally, you will have a lot of freedom in your work. Working from home is largely possible, and you largely determine how you organize your tasks.
