As a Senior Fullstack Developer in this newly formed Innovation Lab, you’ll work at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and experimentation. From smart charging and carbon tracking to next-gen EV infrastructure, you’ll prototype the software that powers Europe’s green energy transition — one line of code at a time.

Who you'll be working with?

Our client is building a robust, fully interoperable, future-proof EV charging ecosystem. They facilitate frictionless, sustainable EV charging both on public and private charging poles. It’s an ambitious mission: enabling businesses, governments, and everyday EV drivers to accelerate the transition to sustainable e-mobility. And it's working: they doubled their employee count and their market share in the past year.

The company is well-established, profitable, and growing fast under new leadership. They’ve recently spun out a new Innovation Lab: a small, cross-functional team (3-4 engineers, 1 product owner/designer) focused on researching, prototyping, and validating new business ideas and products. The goal is to rapidly build and test new offerings in untouched corners of the e-mobility market, then — if successful — integrate these into the larger company or spin them out as new ventures.

What you'll be doing?

You will be an integral part of this Innovation Lab as a Senior Fullstack Developer. Your mission: to bring innovative ideas to life by quickly prototyping and validating software solutions. This isn’t about maintaining legacy code; it's about building from scratch, experimenting, and embracing a fast-paced, iterative approach. Key responsibilities include:

Prototyping and Development: Rapidly design, develop, and deploy fullstack prototypes for new features and products. Think of solutions involving smart charging algorithms, carbon tracking, energy arbitrage, or advanced payment systems. Technological Exploration: Research and experiment with cutting-edge technologies (blockchain, AI, IoT, etc.) to understand their potential applications in e-mobility. Validation and Testing: Work closely with the Product Owner and design team to gather user feedback, conduct A/B tests, and iterate on prototypes. Scalability and Integration: While focused on prototypes, you'll also consider how successful innovations could scale or integrate into the existing ecosystem. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, share insights, and contribute to the overall innovation strategy.

Who are we looking for?

You're a Senior Fullstack Developer (5+ years of experience) who thrives in a dynamic, experimental environment. You see yourself as much as an innovator as an engineer, with a passion for building impactful solutions from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have:

Expertise in Backend Development: Strong proficiency in Python or Java with experience building robust, scalable APIs and microservices. Frontend Prowess: Solid experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) and a keen eye for UI/UX. Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, including serverless architectures (Lambda, Azure Functions). Database and Data Streaming: Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data streaming technologies (Kafka, event-driven architectures) is a big plus. Blockchain & Web3 Experience: Familiarity with blockchain concepts or practical experience with Web3 development is highly advantageous for exploring decentralized e-mobility solutions. Agile Mindset: Comfortable with rapid iteration, lean development, and continuous delivery. Problem-Solver & Self-Starter: Ability to tackle complex challenges independently, propose creative solutions, and drive projects forward. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The salary mentioned is based on a 40-hour work week and includes the 8% holiday allowance. If you prefer a 32 or 36-hour work week, we can adjust the salary pro rate.
