About the Position

Introduction

Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) is dedicated to bringing the world onchain by building robust developer tools. Recognizing that current onchain development can be slow, risky, and challenging, their mission is to onboard a million developers by providing an easy-to-use and trusted developer experience. The team focuses on creating API and SDK products for various developer needs, including wallets, paymaster services, staking, stablecoins, and onchain data.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, fast-paced team that operates with a startup mentality within Coinbase, emphasizing strong ownership and a commitment to developer satisfaction. The Product Finance FP&A team is crucial for supporting Coinbase's revenue-generating product groups, providing financial forecasting, variance analysis, and ad-hoc insights to inform business decisions. This role will serve as the primary FP&A partner for the developer organization, specifically supporting teams building tools and protocols in the crypto ecosystem, including Base.

Responsibilities

Provide monthly budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting support to various stakeholders, including business unit leaders and corporate FP&A.
Collaborate with HR and Talent Business Partners to forecast headcount needs.
Conduct monthly budget reviews and annual planning exercises.
Lead deep dives into specific expense or revenue lines to understand their drivers and identify potential levers for enhancing financial performance.
Support month-end close processes and preparation for quarterly earnings calls.

Requirements

Strong interest in the crypto economy and Coinbase's products, coupled with a desire for continuous learning.
Proficient technical skills, including the ability to use Google Sheets, and strong financial acumen.
At least 2 years of experience in an FP&A role, strategic finance, or a similar fast-paced finance environment (e.g., investment banking, asset management).

Nice to Have

Coding experience (SQL or Python).
Experience using Anaplan and/or Netsuite.
