Introduction

Are you a recent HBO/WO graduate eager to make a significant impact in the financial sector? Haystack People offers a unique two-year Financial Traineeship, where you will undertake diverse secondment assignments at various organizations. This program is designed to give you broad exposure to different financial roles and environments, helping you discover your true passion. You will also become part of a close-knit team of young professionals dedicated to evolving the financial industry. Upon completion of the traineeship, you will be well-prepared for the next exciting step in your financial career!

Responsibilities

As a Financial Trainee, you will work 36-40 hours per week on a secondment basis at leading companies and scale-ups within the financial sector. Our partners include prestigious organizations such as Bunq, EY, ABN AMRO, Nationale Nederlanden, Rabobank, and Heineken. Your assignments will be dynamic, tailored to your preferences and developmental needs. You will gain experience in roles such as:

• Business Controller
• Financial Analyst
• Project Controller
• Credit Advisor
• CDD Analyst
• Data Analyst

In addition to your practical assignments, you will follow a structured development program that includes:

• Certifications: Training for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Power BI Analyst, and SCRUM Master.
• Mentorship: Intensive guidance from a dedicated Talent Manager.
• Coaching: Personal coaching and training focused on enhancing your soft skills and communication abilities.
• Peer Learning: Regular intervision sessions with fellow trainees.

This comprehensive program ensures not only your professional growth but also your personal development, preparing you for the financial sector of the future.

Requirements

• Recently completed an HBO or WO degree in a financial discipline (e.g., Finance, Economics, Business Economics, Accountancy, Financial Management, Business Administration).
• Ambitious, eager to learn, and proactive.
• Excellent communication skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• 0-2 years of work experience; recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
• Reside in or be willing to relocate to the Amsterdam, Utrecht, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, or Den Bosch regions.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Prior internship experience in the financial sector.
• Demonstrated interest in current financial trends or technologies.

• An excellent starting salary of €3,000 - €3,500 per month (including holiday allowance).
