ETL Developer

Introduction

Our client, an international company based in the Rotterdam region with 1200 colleagues globally, is seeking an ETL Developer. You will join a BI team of three and primarily focus on a new Cloud-based Data Warehouse (DWH) being built with an external partner. This role requires strong collaboration and the ability to contribute to architectural discussions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an external party on optimizing a new cloud-based DWH.
• Manage the entire data pipeline, including extracting, cleaning, enriching, and transforming data streams.
• Contribute to the DWH architecture.
• Set up ETL processes.
• Be responsible for establishing and managing the Azure Cloud environment.
• Continuously improve the data platform.
• Serve as a sparring partner for designing data models with the architect.
• Unlock various data sources (structured and unstructured).
• In the long term, ensure that all data can be easily retrieved from the DWH with a push of a button.
• Act as a sparring partner for BI colleagues.

Requirements

• At least HBO/WO educated (Bachelor's or Master's degree).
• At least 2 years of experience as an ETL Developer.
• Ability to participate in architectural discussions.
• Experience with TSQL and GIT is a requirement.
• Knowledge of Pentaho / Docker software.
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Snowflake.
