Introduction

As an Enterprise Architect within our consultancy organization, you will help shape the digital future of various organizations. You will develop vision, frameworks, and target architectures, ensuring cohesion between strategy, processes, and IT. You will advise and guide organizations in making and realizing strategic choices that are crucial for their digital future and societal impact.

Responsibilities

• Translate business strategy into IT strategy and architectural frameworks.
• Develop roadmaps and transformation plans.
• Guide transformation initiatives, such as modernizing application landscapes or cloud transitions.
• Connect strategic architecture and execution in a continuous interaction, where directional choices are informed by practical insights and truly land in implementation.
• Drive cohesion within application, data, and technology landscapes, with an eye for modern architectural principles and technological developments.
• Prepare and substantiate business cases and scenario analyses, aimed at value creation and decision-making.
• Establish and apply architectural governance.
• Collaborate with directors, management, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders, connecting diverse interests and building support for strategic choices.
• Actively contribute to our architecture community through knowledge sharing, workshops, and substantive sessions.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• A convincing advisor at a senior stakeholder level.
• A clear vision on architecture and digital transformation, and the ability to translate this into concrete frameworks and direction.
• Proven ability to build support and influence decision-making.
• Overview of the coherence between business, processes, and IT.
• Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in an IT or business administration field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural roles within complex organizations.
• Demonstrable experience with enterprise architecture and transformation issues.
• Demonstrable knowledge of architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, Open Agile Architecture, ArchiMate, RCDA, and/or Zachman.
• Experience with:
  • Strategic architecture and roadmapping
  • Business-IT alignment
  • Governance and decision-making
  • Multiple architectural domains (business, application, data, technology) and the ability to create cohesion therein.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Experience with stakeholder management at a senior level.
• Relevant sector or industry knowledge (e.g., within financial services, the public sector, or industry) and knowledge of their current themes.
• Strong advisory skills, administrative sensitivity, and the ability to switch between different stakeholder levels.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
