Responsibilities

As an Application Manager in E-commerce, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and managing the IT infrastructure that supports our client's successful webshops. This is a versatile role where you bridge the gap between technology and business, and where you are daily involved in improving the digital customer experience and operational efficiency.

You will be responsible for the management of various e-commerce applications, including the ERP, CRM, WMS, and PIM systems. You will monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure stability and scalability. Additionally, you will define new functionalities, write functional specifications, and supervise the implementation of new software and updates. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as marketing, sales, and logistics, to translate their needs into effective IT solutions.

You will act as the first point of contact for application-related questions and problems, coordinating their resolution with both internal IT departments and external suppliers. You will be involved in project management for small and medium-sized IT projects, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and reporting promptly to management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role within the e-commerce or retail sector, with demonstrable experience in managing and optimizing applications such as ERP (preferably AFAS or similar), CRM, WMS, and PIM.
• HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) work and thinking level.
• Strong communication skills, capable of clearly explaining both technical details and business processes to various stakeholders.
• Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented, with a strong drive for continuous process improvement.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum) is a plus.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
