Introduction

Are you passionate about the intersection of development and operations, with a focus on automation and stable delivery? As a DevOps Engineer at Sopra Steria, you will work on cloud environments for both public organizations and enterprise clients, where continuity and reliability are paramount and systems directly impact users and processes.

Responsibilities

• Automate software delivery and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible to ensure reproducible and manageable environments.
• Integrate security from the outset, applying DevSecOps principles to ensure compliance and safety are part of every step.
• Set up monitoring and observability with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Dynatrace to maintain system insight and quickly address issues.
• Support the transition to cloud-native operations with Docker and Kubernetes, contributing to a work culture centered on automation and continuous improvement.
• Design, build, and manage cloud environments with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring they align with existing IT landscapes and meet security, performance, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Experience with one or more cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD and pipeline automation.
• Familiarity with YAML configurations.
• Basic knowledge of scripting such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum and working in project environments.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Certification such as Azure DevOps Engineer, AWS DevOps Engineer, or similar.
