Responsibilities

• Automate deployments and IT processes.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, preferably demonstrated by a relevant diploma.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure and AKS.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, for example with Terraform.
• Experience with scripting (Python and/or Bash).
• For senior candidates: demonstrable experience with architecture analysis and advising.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

This government organization, located near Hengelo, plays a central role in managing and facilitating IT environments for dozens of public organizations across the Netherlands. Due to rapid growth in the number of affiliated organizations, with an expected increase of dozens of new clients per year, scalability and automation are essential to maintain reliable and future-proof service delivery.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will join a specialized hosting team responsible for these environments. The team is currently compact but will grow into a full-fledged Scrum team in the coming period, including a Scrum Master and Product Owner. This means you will join at a time when you can significantly influence process design, tooling, and collaboration.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will undergo extensive onboarding, lasting approximately two months, to familiarize yourself with the complex infrastructure, processes, and working methods.
