Delivery Director

As the Delivery Director, you are responsible for the overall delivery of large and complex transformation programs within our largest and most strategical North American clients. These engagements often involve dozens of teams and hundreds of people directly working on the implementation of the Backbase Engagement Banking Platform for a duration of multiple years, focused on modernizing the digital experience for our client’s customers and employees. You will be responsible for the overall success of the transformation program, taking responsibility for the client relationship, ensuring solution fit, managing risk, financials, resource allocation and the delivery progress. You are a natural leader with a proactive approach who can manage and interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all seniority levels, from solution architect to C-level executive. You have proven experience managing large system integration work in complex environments. What you will be doing? Lead and oversee the successful delivery of multiple large and complex transformation programs, on time and within budget, ensuring the highest quality standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor. Take full responsibility for the client relationship by managing client expectations, ensuring client satisfaction and handling escalations in complex environments. Act as the ultimate owner for the financial performance and forecasting of assigned accounts and programs, including revenue, expenses, and profitability. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the programs, proactively developing and implementing risk management strategies. Formulate and execute a coherent account strategy aligned with Backbase's overall business objectives, including identifying new business opportunities and expansion within existing clients. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, product development, and support, to ensure a seamless client experience. Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and foster professional growth within the project teams. Drive continuous process improvement across the delivery function, constantly seeking ways to enhance efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction. Be an inspiring leader for large cross-functional and cross-geographical teams. What you bring? 12+ years of experience in managing large-scale system integration projects, preferably in the financial services industry. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration); Experience with digital transformation using modern technology stacks (e.g., Cloud Native, Microservices, Public Cloud, SaaS); Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate large, diverse teams to achieve exceptional results, and able to manage C-level stakeholder interactions; Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships and navigate intricate organizational dynamics; Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on delivering tangible business value; Willingness to travel extensively to client sites as required (50-70%).
