Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MS SQL Server databases.
• Model databases and write T-SQL code.
• Optimize database performance and analyze complex datasets.
• Develop custom solutions for logistics processes such as warehouse management, track & trace, and storage management.
• Lead technical projects from design to delivery.
• Collaborate with consultants, developers, and other IT specialists on implementation projects.
• Handle 2nd and 3rd line support issues related to databases and applications.
• Monitor quality, documentation, and technical standards.
• Identify and implement improvements in processes and working methods.
• Work on business-critical systems used internationally.

Requirements

• HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Developer or in a similar role.
• Experience with MS SQL Server.
• Experience with writing and optimizing T-SQL queries.
• Knowledge of database modeling and performance tuning.
• Experience with Visual Studio or similar development environments.
• Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
• Affinity with logistics processes, warehouse management, or supply chain is a plus.
• Proficient in Dutch and English.
• You are analytical, communicative, and enjoy working collaboratively within a team.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

The organization employs approximately 25 IT professionals who work fully in-house on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of various software products. As a Database Developer, you will be part of a specialized team of five colleagues and work closely with consultants, application managers, and other development teams.

You will be involved in designing, developing, and optimizing databases that play a crucial role in complex logistics environments. The systems you work on process large amounts of data and support business-critical processes for clients domestically and internationally. You will have significant opportunities to contribute ideas for technical improvements and the further professionalization of the team.
