We have unique strengths in complex, cross-organizational solution analysis, design, development, implementation, and change management supporting enterprise requirements. We are seeking a Data Scientist to provide data-driven business analysis, specializing in natural language processing (NLP) and associated data preparation, to support senior organizational leaders. This role requires the ability to transform structured and unstructured data into clear, analytically supported insights for decision-making related to production, resources, and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with data scientists and the technical team to implement requirements, with priorities managed by the GTM.
• Conduct sophisticated analysis using deployed tools and natural language processing.
• Analyze large amounts of raw data, including text data, to provide business insights.
• Preprocess or clean structured and unstructured data, including text data.
• Design and implement advanced ETL code and table configurations for complex data sets.
• Use Structured Query Language (SQL) in Oracle databases to develop and organize relevant information with supporting analytics.
• Independently, or with a team, author analytic publications and produce ad-hoc reports, including data visualizations using provided templates.
• Stay current with enterprise metadata collection tools.
• Implement existing coordination processes.
• Provide technical education to staff on an ad-hoc basis.
• Provide subject matter expertise in NLP to support initiatives.
• Assist in developing types of measures, data collection, data analysis, and presenting data to senior leadership.
• Conduct advanced statistical analysis on personnel, intelligence, and performance metrics.
• Assist in the selection or development of appropriate research methodology.
• Analyze information and provide research findings in an easily understandable manner.

Requirements

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS).
• Proficient in performing NLP tasks, including selecting appropriate Python libraries, choosing pre-processing actions, performing analysis, and assessing model performance.
• Experience using Python NLP packages such as Spacy, Gensim, or NLTK to analyze or process document collections.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, or Keras.
• Familiarity with the HuggingFace Transformers library and hub.
• Ability to create machine learning models for text classification and topic modeling in Python using standard machine learning (Scikit-learn) or deep learning models.
• Experience using encoder-decoder and generative language models for NLP tasks.
• Strong communication skills for conveying methodological choices and model results.
• Proficiency with SQL, including common table expressions, set operations, aggregated functions, and nested subqueries.
• Experience with version control systems such as GitHub and Jenkins.
• Ability to leverage GPUs for accelerated computing.
• Practical approaches for measuring performance.

Nice to Have

• Experience writing Python scripts that pull data from web-based APIs and relational databases.
• Cloud computing development and architecture experience.
• Familiarity with front-end web development frameworks such as Flask.
• Experience developing applications for semantic search.
• Ability to tune LLMs on custom datasets and apply results to specific use cases.
• Proficiency with Tableau for producing visualizations and dashboards.
