The Data Science team is integral to our investment process, working daily with investment professionals to track every component of the economy in real-time.

Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in informing investment decisions across various sectors, company stages, and datasets. Your responsibilities will include:

Forecasting: Developing and implementing models to forecast company income statement entries using real-time alternative datasets.
Market Analysis: Tracking new product launches and assessing their impact on companies relative to competitors.
Performance Decomposition: Analyzing and decomposing stock market performance of various securities under different scenarios.
Quantitative Screening: Quantitatively screening for promising emerging venture-backed companies.
Tooling Development: Building shared tools to enhance the Data Science team's day-to-day workflow and efficiency.
Data Management: Utilizing SQL, R, and data visualization techniques to gather, analyze, and present insights.

Requirements

Proficient programming abilities, particularly with dataframe-based libraries such as data.table, dplyr, or pandas.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret and derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively translate technical projects and findings to business stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, US.
