At Team Rockstars IT, we believe in the power of data. We help our clients optimize their data landscapes, from strategy to implementation. As a Data Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in this, designing, building, and maintaining the foundations of data platforms, ensuring data availability and quality, and making it accessible for various applications such as machine learning and business intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Work on diverse, challenging projects for various clients, ensuring a dynamic and educational environment.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using tools like Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink, and Airflow.
• Manage and optimize data warehouses and data lakes in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), utilizing technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Delta Lake.
• Ensure the integration of various data sources and the transformation of raw data into valuable insights.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, data analysts, and software engineers to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Share your knowledge and experience with colleagues and contribute to the further development of our Data Engineering Chapter.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Data Platform Engineer, Data Engineer, or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their associated data services.
• Strong skills in Python, Java, Scala, or Go.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work independently while being a valuable team player.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

• An annual contract with the intention of an indefinite contract.
• A salary between €4,000 and €7,500 per month, depending on your knowledge and experience.
