About the Position

Introduction

Are you ready to make a real impact in the fight against financial crime? As a Data Engineer at Sopra Steria, you'll be on the front lines, protecting our clients and payment channels 24/7. You will join an agile squad responsible for critical monitoring systems detecting Financial Economic Crime (FEC) and sanction violations.

Responsibilities

Support and improve our complex IT landscape for sanction and transaction control.
Build and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-efficient systems on INFORM's RiskShield, a real-time fraud prevention system.
Adjust and create new rules in the RiskShield application, enhancing performance and reducing false positives.
Lead infrastructural and functional improvements within the Transaction Filtering and Name Screening squads.
Automate deployments and processes to make the environment faster and more reliable.
Ensure regulatory compliance by implementing findings from audits and model validations.
Collaborate closely with a squad of professionals to design and build future-proof solutions.

Minimum of 2.5 years of relevant work experience.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Strong technical skills in cloud environments and automation.
Knowledge of Python, PySpark, Microsoft Azure, Linux.
Proficiency in Power BI and data visualization.
Knowledge and experience in security, including Vulnerability Management and Azure Compliance.
Proactive and results-oriented, with a passion for security and efficiency.
Strong communicator and team player, with an eye for what the team needs to succeed.
Skilled in planning and collaboration.
Experienced in tackling complex issues within a dynamic environment.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

A permanent contract and a salary between €3,000 and €6,000 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week). The exact salary depends on your experience and the role.
