About the Position

Introduction

GDIT is seeking a Data Engineer / Cloud ETL Developer to deliver cloud-based data engineering and ETL solutions for a Federal agency. This role focuses on transforming how government agencies utilize data, offering a meaningful impact on client missions and career growth within a global technology and professional services company.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement complex ETL processes for healthcare data to meet a wide range of business and system requirements.
Support ETL operational processes, including automation, job scheduling, dependencies, monitoring, maintenance, patches, upgrades, security, and administration.
Identify process improvements and innovative ways to solve existing or new problems.

Requirements

Education: BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications/training, or work experience.
Required Experience: 5+ years of IT experience.
Strong experience with Python programming.
Strong SQL experience.
At least 2+ years of Cloud ETL development experience using AWS Services / tools.
Experience with Snowflake and/or similar cloud relational databases/data warehouse technologies.
Experience with Github or similar version control tools.
Prior experience using the Agile development framework and CI/CD DevOps.
Security Clearance Level: Ability to pass a CMS background check and meet the residency requirement of having resided in the US for at least three out of the last five years.
