Responsibilities

In this crucial role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing the entire data infrastructure. This includes:

• Setting up data pipelines.
• Ensuring data quality.
• Implementing scalable cloud solutions.
• Working closely with a team of AI specialists and software engineers to ensure AI models are fed with reliable, high-quality data.
• Driving the data strategy and playing a key role in the further development of the AI platform.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you possess:

• A Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer in a complex environment.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience with large datasets and distributed systems (Spark, Flink, Kafka).
• Expertise in setting up ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of and experience with machine learning pipelines and MLOps.
