Introduction

Are you looking to play a key role in building a modern data platform within an innovative industrial environment? As a Data Engineer, you will ensure that large volumes of machine and business data are transformed into reliable information, enabling dashboards, AI solutions, and predictive analyses.

Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing a scalable data platform on which future data and AI solutions will be built. Your tasks will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines in cloud and edge environments.
• Processing, validating, and modeling industrial sensor data and time-series data.
• Unlocking data via industrial protocols such as OPC UA and MQTT.
• Integrating and enriching data from various sources, including ERP systems and operational systems.
• Setting up and managing a central data lake and robust data architecture.
• Ensuring data quality, data validation, and consistent data models.
• Collaborating with AI specialists, software developers, and engineers on innovative data and AI solutions.

Requirements

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) or WO (University) degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with developing data pipelines.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and data modeling.
• Experience with industrial data, OPC UA, MQTT, and time-series data.
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power BI or comparable BI tools.
• Experience with ERP data and affinity for industrial automation or OT environments.

• Salary indication between €5,000 and €6,600 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience.
