Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us scale our data infrastructure to support Mollie's rapid growth. You will play a crucial role in building the next generation of our data platform and influencing architectural decisions, all within a robust, reliable, and high-performance environment. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using modern data technologies.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Product Managers, and other Engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver robust and efficient data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across all data systems.
• Optimize existing data pipelines and infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
• Implement and promote best practices in data engineering.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support our data platform.

Requirements

• Solid experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, Dagster).
• Understanding of data governance, data security, and privacy principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink).
