Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and expand the data architecture within the organization.
• Translate business needs into scalable and future-proof data solutions.
• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Develop data strategies for collecting, integrating, managing, and making data available.
• Establish and monitor organization-wide data standards, architectural principles, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Business Architects, and Enterprise Architects on data-driven solutions.
• Actively contribute to solution design and implementations within projects.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data flows, data structures, and data quality.
• Advise on the use of AI and modern data technologies within business processes.
• Ensure data quality, information security, and compliance in collaboration with Data Governance and Security teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
• Minimum of six years of experience as a Data Architect or in a comparable role.
• Demonstrable experience with designing and implementing data solutions.
• Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
• Knowledge of architectural methodologies such as TOGAF and DAMA-DMBOK.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data solutions.
• Knowledge of data integration, data pipelines, and modern data architectures.
• Experience with enterprise applications such as SAP, Salesforce, or Workday is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, preferably within a SAFe environment.
• Strong communication skills and experience with stakeholder management within both business and IT.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
