Consultancy Traineeship

This two-year Consultancy Traineeship at AFAS will allow you to work with customers on issues that impact how organizations operate, developing you step by step into a full-fledged consultant.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Handle customer inquiries and learn to prioritize.
• Get to know AFAS, our software, and our customers.
• Participate in practical work and follow targeted training for software and soft skills.
• Learn how to provide advice and align expectations.
• Help customers solve substantive questions through solution-oriented thinking.
• Transfer your acquired knowledge to customers and new colleagues.
• Manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Analyze issues and find the best solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues, such as consultants, product specialists, and developers.
• Deepen your knowledge of consultancy projects and practice setup issues.
• Assume increasing personal responsibility.
• Present ideas and learn to substantiate decisions.

Requirements

• Higher vocational (HBO) or university (WO) level of thinking and working.
• Minimum availability of 32 hours per week (preferably 40 hours in the first year due to training).
• Interest in business processes and continuously identifying opportunities to automate and digitalize them.
• High enthusiasm for continuous learning and contributing to AFAS's daily improvement.
• Passion for software and customer interaction.
• Desire to learn and take responsibility.
• Enjoy customer contact.
• Enjoy brainstorming and finding effective solutions.
• Strong understanding of (business) processes and identifying areas for improvement in organizations.
• Energized by setting up and improving processes in our software.
• Belief that AI will accelerate your work and actively use it.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

• A four-day work week with Friday as a development day. As a trainee, you will be present on Friday once every six weeks (you will have Wednesday off that week).
• The option to work from home 1 day a week (Monday and Thursday are mandatory office days). For the first six months, you will be in the office four days a week to get to know AFAS well, after which it will be a minimum of three days a week.
