As we prepare to launch our cutting-edge cryptocurrency exchange, we are seeking a Legal Counsel/Compliance Manager to guarantee that our operations adhere to regulatory standards across various jurisdictions and to handle all legal matters pertinent to our business.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel and guidance on all operational aspects, including adherence to cryptocurrency regulations in multiple jurisdictions.
• Develop and enforce compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure conformity with local and international regulations (e.g., KYC/AML).
• Manage legal affairs, including contract review, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
• Serve as the primary contact for regulatory authorities, ensuring consistent communication and timely reporting.
• Monitor and stay current with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and best practices within the cryptocurrency and fintech sectors.
• Oversee licensing and registration processes in various jurisdictions to ensure the business meets all regulatory requirements.
• Support the legal and compliance aspects of developing and launching new products and services.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel and advisors to efficiently manage all legal matters.
• Ensure the company's governance framework is robust and aligned with international best practices.
• Conduct internal compliance training and cultivate a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Legal Counsel or Compliance Manager, preferably within the cryptocurrency, fintech, or financial services industries.
• Strong understanding of international cryptocurrency regulations, financial compliance (KYC/AML), and data protection laws.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in multiple jurisdictions, particularly Tier 1 regions like the US, Europe, and Asia.
• Experience managing legal and compliance matters for cryptocurrency exchanges or fintech platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with regulators, internal teams, and external partners.
• Hands-on experience with licensing and compliance in financial markets.
• Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel frequently for regulatory meetings, conferences, and business needs.
• Law degree from a recognized institution.
