Introduction

Do you enjoy working on cloud environments that are technically sound and remain operational in practice? As a Cloud Engineer at Sopra Steria, you will design, build, and manage cloud solutions within AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will work on projects for both public organizations and enterprise clients, often in environments where reliability and societal impact play a significant role.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage cloud solutions within AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Set up platforms and automate infrastructure.
• Ensure environments run securely and stably, especially in organizations where continuity is critical.
• Work with Kubernetes or OpenShift for container platforms.
• Utilize tools like Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible for infrastructure setup and management.
• Implement monitoring and logging with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry to ensure system visibility and prompt problem resolution.
• Collaborate with colleagues from DevOps, network, and architecture teams to integrate environments with existing IT landscapes.
• Resolve incidents, improve performance, and ensure thorough documentation.

Requirements

• Experience with one or more cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.
• Basic knowledge of networking, IAM, and cloud security.
• Experience with CI/CD within cloud environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
• Certifications such as Azure Administrator, AWS SysOps, or CKA are a plus.
• A proactive approach to automation and structured problem-solving for technical issues.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

• Salary up to €6,500 per month (based on 40 hours).
