Introduction

Are you an Azure Cloud Engineer/Junior Architect looking to shape the Cloud strategy for an international organization focused on innovative infrastructure and environmental solutions across its Dutch branches? Read on!

Responsibilities

• Analyzing, setting up, and optimizing infrastructure designs in Azure.
• Designing specifications and technical blueprints.
• Guiding developers during execution and implementation.
• Contributing ideas to the Cloud (Azure) strategy.
• Advising stakeholders within your area of expertise.
• Guiding organization-wide solutions in Azure.
• Overseeing the implementation of cloud-based processes and systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of an HBO degree, preferably in IT.
• Approximately 5 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years of recent experience with Azure.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with Azure Cloud services (e.g., VM, Azure AD, Security, Networking, Storage, and Governance).
• Previous experience in designing and setting up infrastructure designs.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Working as a Cloud (Azure) Architect at this company means becoming part of an international organization with a local focus. As a (junior) Azure Cloud Architect, you will help this organization take the next step in its cloud transition. One of your primary tasks will be to shape the cloud-first strategy and establish a Cloud Center for all branches in the Netherlands. They are currently actively migrating to Azure, so you can immediately help position all processes, applications, and services for optimal operation. As an Architect, you will design, set up, and monitor technical designs to ensure the Cloud landscape operates at the highest possible level. You will map requirements from various stakeholders, oversee technical implementation, and establish policies for management and security.

As an Architect, you will ensure that the right (future-proof) choices are made and you will have an advisory role on how to optimally utilize Azure. Additionally, there are numerous developments, including a focus on digital products and the development of cloud-native solutions, where you can support the business with a suitable cloud architecture and strategy. This role offers an experienced Cloud Engineer a great opportunity to move towards architecture, or to further grow if you have recently started in this field. There is also another Architect within the organization from whom you can learn a lot.
