Introduction

Contribute to a more sustainable world as a Business Development Manager. You will help organizations transition to circular IT, build your own pipeline, and be responsible for acquiring new clients from A to Z.

At this company, you will be the driving force behind growth, focusing on developing new business. You will proactively approach the market, build relationships with potential customers, and create strategic partnerships. You are not just a salesperson; you are a strategic partner who understands customer needs and helps them transition to sustainable IT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute new business strategies.
• Identify new market opportunities and generate leads.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level and senior stakeholders.
• Manage the entire sales process, from acquisition to contract negotiation and closing.
• Present sustainable IT solutions and advise clients on their implementation.
• Collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, marketing, product) to create tailored solutions.
• Achieve ambitious sales targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Commercial Economics).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Development or Sales role, preferably within the IT sector.
• Proven track record in new business development and closing complex deals.
• Strong affinity with sustainability and the circular economy.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Proficient in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
• Residing in Utrecht or the immediate vicinity.
• Knowledge of (circular) IT hardware is a plus.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
