Business Analyst Identity & Access Management

Introduction

Are you an Information Analyst looking for a new challenge within the Dutch Government in The Hague? Do you enjoy bridging the gap between business, security, and IT? If you want to contribute to secure and well-structured Identity & Access Management processes, translating user needs into technical IAM solutions, then this role is for you!

Responsibilities

In addition to general Information Analyst duties, you will specifically focus on Identity & Access Management (IAM) issues, including access management, authorization models, roles and rights, identity lifecycle processes, and improving security implementation.

• Develop work processes, business processes, IAM processes, and business logic (UML models).
• Conduct IT-related and IAM-related analyses (e.g., authorization chains and identity lifecycle).
• Translate process models into functional IAM solutions.
• Review analyses and check for compliance and security guidelines.
• Perform validation checks, including roles, rights, and user groups.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on IAM usage and risk areas.
• Develop data models, including IAM data streams and identity lifecycle data.
• Proactively engage and coordinate with stakeholders such as security, architecture, and functional management.
• Prepare reports, possibly with recommendations for IAM governance and risk.
• Advise management on IAM improvements, processes, and security guidelines.

Requirements

• Demonstrable HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level with a degree in business administration, business informatics, or a comparable field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business/information analysis, preferably within government organizations.
• Experience or demonstrable affinity with IAM issues (e.g., authorizations, roles & rights, access matrices, identity lifecycle).
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR, IB, and design guidelines (preferably knowledge of BIO or security guidelines).
• Knowledge and experience with Lean and Agile.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
