At Haystack People, we are looking for a Business Analyst who makes a difference. We work for a major logistics player that uses AI and advanced analytics to transform its operations. In this role, you will contribute to the development of the 'AI-driven logistics chain' in the Netherlands. You will analyze complex business processes and data, translate business needs into concrete requirements, and act as the link between business and development. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product owners to realize innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deeply analyze and model complex business processes and information flows within the logistics chain.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities, translating them into concrete business requirements and user stories.
• Validate AI models and algorithms based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of data and analyses, and set up data governance structures.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders at various levels.
• Prepare clear and useful documentation (e.g., user stories, process descriptions, data dictionaries).
• Advise the business on possible solutions and their impact.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a data-driven or logistics environment.
• Completed HBO/WO education (Bachelor's/Master's degree) in a relevant field (e.g., Business Informatics, Econometrics, Business Administration).
• Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to understand complex issues.
• Experience with data modeling, process modeling (BPMN), and creating user stories.
• Knowledge and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills, both verbal and written.
• Proactive attitude and a strong drive to deliver quality.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
