BI Specialist

For an independent government organization in the Zwolle region, we are looking for a BI specialist. This organization oversees the entire biological chain in the Netherlands. Due to continuous changes in legislation and regulations, you will work in a dynamic environment. As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will be part of the ICT department, which consists of approximately 30 employees. Together, you will work on various projects, including the development of a new, self-built core application to replace the current one. In this role, you will develop reports and dashboards with Power BI, design ETL processes, and maintain data warehouses and databases. In addition to the technical aspects of the role, you will proactively gather BI questions from colleagues and translate their wishes and needs into clear dashboards. Therefore, a solid technical foundation is essential. Your analytical, curious, and communicative skills will help you provide the right insights. In short, this broad role combines technical challenges with a connecting role between business and IT. BI currently has the highest priority within the organization, giving you the freedom to take initiative in various data and business areas.

Responsibilities

• Design ETL processes.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Maintain and optimize data warehouses and databases.
• Perform data governance, analysis, modeling, and visualization.
• Translate BI questions from the business into technical solutions.

Requirements

• You have at least a Bachelor's (HBO) level of education or equivalent work experience.
• You have a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role.
• You have knowledge and experience with ETL processes, Power BI, and SQL.
• You have experience maintaining data warehouses and databases.
• You are communicatively skilled, problem-solving, and analytically strong.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Benefits

• Salary between €3,000 and €5,400 gross per month based on a 40-hour work week.
• 32 vacation days.

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per km.
• A healthcare allowance of €50 (on top of your gross salary, based on a 40-hour work week).
