Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our Wallets team. This is a fully remote position where you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our multi-currency wallet systems, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability. This role is crucial for our mission to power the future of digital finance. You will be instrumental in building the infrastructure for leading digital assets, including Bitcoin.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend services for our wallet infrastructure.
• Implement and optimize transaction processing, security protocols, and API integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure high availability and performance of wallet services.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to maintain code quality and system reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest blockchain technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer, preferably with a focus on wallet systems, cryptocurrencies, or financial technology.
• Strong proficiency in backend programming languages (e.g., Go, Java, Python, Node.js).
• Experience with blockchain technologies, particularly Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies.
• Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Understanding of secure coding practices and cryptographic principles.
• Experience with API design and development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-currency wallet development.
• Knowledge of various blockchain protocols and smart contracts.
• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
