About the Position

Introduction

Collabhouse is seeking a skilled Backend / DevOps Engineer to join their growing team in Amsterdam. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining core platform services and infrastructure, leveraging a modern microservices architecture with cutting-edge technologies. You'll contribute to a platform that's shaping the future of digital experiences in the music industry.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services using TypeScript and NestJS.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to define and implement new features.
Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Troubleshoot and debug production issues.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development and DevOps.
Contribute to the overall architecture and technical vision of the platform.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on TypeScript and NestJS.
Proven experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and ORM frameworks.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience working in an agile environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

Experience with GraphQL.
Knowledge of event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Familiarity with blockchain technologies (e.g., smart contracts, decentralized applications).
