Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Python.
• Work with Django, PostgreSQL, and Docker.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Actively participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Contribute to the improvement of development processes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product owners, and UX/UI designers.

Requirements

• Minimum of HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer with at least 3 years of professional experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Python and Django.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Passion for sustainability and technology.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
