Backend Developer (Node.js)

Responsibilities

As a Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our client's backend systems. You will work closely with a team of talented developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to deliver innovative solutions that meet the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing clean, efficient, and scalable backend applications using Node.js and NestJS.
• Designing and managing databases (primarily PostgreSQL and MongoDB).
• Writing unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability.
• Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participating in code reviews and actively contributing to system architecture.
• Working in an agile environment with regular sprints and releases.
• Maintaining technical documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Backend Developer, preferably in a scalable environment.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Node.js and NestJS.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with database management, especially PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Git for version control.
• Proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communicative skills.
• Affinity with blockchain technology is a plus.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
