About the Position

Introduction

We are a software company in Amsterdam that builds and runs API platforms and microservices for clients operating at scale. We heavily use Kafka, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure. This role offers true engineering ownership: designing, building, deploying, monitoring, and evolving products in production.

We assist enterprise clients, including insurers, banks, tech companies, e-commerce businesses, and startups, in accelerating digital innovation. Our team helps them release new features faster and transition from monolithic/legacy systems to microservices.

Responsibilities

Design, build, deploy, monitor, and evolve API platforms and microservices.
Work on projects with 1-2 clients simultaneously, focusing on product development.
Have full ownership over the products you build, from inception to deployment and monitoring.
Invest in new, relevant technologies.

Requirements

3+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer.
Proficient with NodeJS, Typescript, AWS, and Kafka or Kubernetes.
Familiarity with DDD, TDD, and Clean Code principles.
Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
