Description As a Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include understanding client needs, assisting in the design of architecture, and ensuring seamless integration. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills.

In this role, you’ll be a crucial technical liaison for our valued customers. You’ll be their trusted advisor, guiding them through technical challenges, gathering essential business requirements, and articulating complex solutions for their most pressing needs!

This role also involves some pre-sales activities like engaging with prospects to explain the technical benefits of our product and working closely with our sales teams to craft compelling proposals. Ready to make a real impact? We can't wait to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing:

Serve as a Backbase platform expert both internally and externally Act as a technical leader for customer delivery engagements, collaborating closely with your team and customer stakeholders to understand client pain points and then creating innovative technical solution strategies. Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and solution blueprints for both internal and external use. Partner with our Product team to relay vital customer feedback and product enhancement opportunities. Conduct product demonstrations directly to clients to showcase how our solutions can meet their unique needs, whilst solving critical pain points. Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by assisting in the creation of product materials, best practices guides, and solution accelerators. Provide expert technical pre-sales support to our Backbase Account Executives by delivering technical presentations, and participating in prospect meetings. Collaborate across the Backbase ecosystem of partners, customers, and internal teams to facilitate technical alignment.

Who you are:

You’re experienced in a customer-facing role; preferably in a Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or Senior Engineer capacity; in the financial or FinTech industry. Bonus points if it’s for a complex SaaS or enterprise software solution! You’re skilled in both front-end and back-end development or architecture with proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript. You’ve got a solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns (microservices, APIs, cloud-native deployments). You’re familiar with RESTful APIs, Single Sign-On (SSO), OAuth, and other security concepts. Previous experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Relevant industry certifications (eg. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, etc.) are a plus. Previous experience with CRM solutions (eg. Salesforce) is a plus.
