About the Position

Introduction

AppyThings is seeking an Azure-focused Integration Engineer to build API and event-based connectivity for enterprise environments. You will design secure and scalable integrations using Azure API Management and serverless components. This role requires you to be located in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable, and reliable integration solutions on the Azure platform.
Implement APIs using Azure API Management and best practices for API design.
Develop event-driven architectures using Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, and other messaging services.
Utilize Azure Functions and Logic Apps for serverless integration workflows.
Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of integration solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
Continuously evaluate new Azure services and features to recommend improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as an Integration Engineer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in designing and implementing integration solutions using Microsoft Azure integration services (Azure API Management, Service Bus, Logic Apps, Functions, Event Grid, Event Hubs).
Solid understanding of API design principles (REST, GraphQL) and event-driven architectures.
Experience with C# and .NET for developing custom components and integrations.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-native applications and integrations.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an agile environment.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
