About the Position

Introduction

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a strategic and driven Associate Product Controller for its Payments division within the Finance team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure accurate client-wise financial reporting, reconcile data with reported financial numbers, and support strategic business initiatives by analyzing revenue and balance sheet data. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant with experience in financial services to contribute to the robust financial control framework of a global leader.

Responsibilities

Conduct monthly close activities, including meticulous financial data review, variance investigation, fluctuation analysis, manual postings, and preparation of comprehensive financial reporting deliverables.
Proactively identify and implement enhancements to month-end processes to improve transparency and efficiency in financial results.
Serve as a key resource for project management, actively supporting various business initiatives.
Identify and conduct targeted reviews for specific clients, products, or processes based on quantitative and qualitative factors to align reported numbers with client-wise data in the WCP system.
Collaborate effectively with Business Managers, Sales Team, Product Managers, Regional Product Controllers, and Financial Controllers to monitor and escalate risks appropriately.
Contribute significantly to the end-to-end control framework of the business and function.

Requirements

Qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the Financial Services industry or a proven track record in a Product Controller role.
Excellent communication skills with a strong executive presence.
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and a strong control focus.
Ability to work effectively and maintain composure under tight timeframes and pressure.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills, fostering collaborative environments.
Ability to thrive in a matrix organization with limited local oversight.
Proven skills in identifying and effectively resolving control issues impacting financial results.

Nice to Have

Good knowledge of Treasury Services products and processes, including blockchain, cash management, payment clearing processing, and liquidity management.
Proficiency in digital solutions, specifically Alteryx and Tableau.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Good knowledge of the SAP system.
